A Fun and Active Event in beautiful Southern Indiana to Support the Ohio River Greenway

Le Tour de Pork is a bike tour through scenic southern Indiana started by the "Fat Boy Bikers" in 2007.  Proceeds from the event go to benefit the development, maintenance, and use of the Ohio River Greenway.  After many successful years the Fat Boys have turned over the event to the Friends of the Ohio River Greenway to continue to support the cause.

The event takes place in beautiful Harrison County starting and finishing at Turtle Run Winery where there will be a delicious BBQ lunch, live music, and wine available for tastings and purchase.
The Ohio River Greenway is a multi-use trail along the Ohio River in southern Indiana that connects New Albany, Clarksville, and Jeffersonsville.  The Ohio River Greenway will make the Ohio River accessible to bikers, walkers, and commuters of Southern Indiana and Louisville.  Connecting the communities along with developing amenities along the trail, the Greenway will be one of our most valuable resources and a source of pride for all of our communities that border the Ohio River.

COVID-19 Update:
We are working diligently to make our event SAFE for both participants and volunteers, and will continue to follow CDC and government guidelines concerning best practices and social distancing. Things may look a little different this year, but we don't think it will take away from the fun! Here are a few ways that we plan to keep things safe:

1) Registration will be set up in alphabetized sections
2) BBQ lunch (including vegetarian options) will be served in to-go containers so that riders can grab and go
3) We will only provide water as a beverage this year - riders will be asked to grab pre-filled cups and/or water bottles to go
4) SAG snacks will be individually wrapped items that riders can grab and go
5) All volunteers will be required to wear a mask. Food volunteers will also be required to wear gloves.  Volunteers will regularly wipe down frequently touched surfaces.
6) Participants are asked to social distance and wear masks were appropriate.
7) This year's event will have a participant cap of 220 riders.

Turtle Run Winery has also established social distancing protocols. They have added UV bacteria and virus killing lights in their HVAC system as well as a new front door that eliminates having to use a doorknob.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you August 1st!
